About Phil & Dave

Teater-Crocker is a regional educational consulting firm specializing in school facility planning, educational specifications, management / efficiency reviews and risk management. Dave Teater and Phil Crocker established the firm after spending many years as managing partners in other facility planning and education consulting firms. Mr. Teater brings 27 years of school administration experience and over 200 successful client engagements in 25 states. Mr. Crocker brings over 20 years of experience in education and educational consulting with successful, large-scale projects in numerous states.

 

About Phil

Mr. Crocker offers a broad range of strategic visioning, detailed execution and creative problem-solving skills demonstrated in both public education and business leadership. This blending of best-practices from the private sector with a passion and understanding of K-12 education processes and systems allows for the delivery of creative, replicable, research-based solutions to systemic challenges in public education. Mr. Crocker has taught at the K-12 and community college levels and was instrumental in one of his schools being awarded a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. He has designed, implemented and managed successful improvement projects across the spectrum of education focusing on the use of data and metrics to identify strategic improvements and then implement research-proven, long-term solutions. Mr. Crocker has designed and implemented solutions for multi-state, federally-funded projects, multiple state Departments of Education, and school districts throughout the country ranging in size from 1,000 to 100,000 students. Mr. Crocker provides review and recommendation services related to all areas of education operations including facility planning, technology purchase and utilization, risk management, safety and security, custodial operations, and change management.

About Dave

Mr. Teater has 45 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, counselor, principal, assistant superintendent, superintendent, consultant, and educational facility planner for schools. He has had direct supervisory responsibility for eight major construction or renovation projects and has provided long-range school facility planning services to dozens of school districts. Mr. Teater taught graduate classes on curriculum development, learning theory, supervision, and school finance at Albertson College of Idaho and the University of Idaho. He is a stalwart advocate of public education and is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops in a variety of local and state level venues. Some of the educational services Mr. Teater provides are long-range facility planning, educational specifications, enrollment projections/forecasting, financial services, and energy management services. He has extensive experience in working with parents, staff, students, teachers, administrators, school boards, and citizen advisory committees.
